Happy Lemon in Hawaii

"It's all about the boba and the waffle and that's no different when it come to Happy Lemon. Decibels lots of options for the boba drink, almost too many but I was able to find one that sounded appetizing. I got the mango green tea with mango jellies. I was very pleased with it. It was just the right amount of sweet for me, though I could see people saying it's not set enough. The green tea was a great part of the drink, keeping it light. The mango jellies were great too, also not too sweet and just the right density. The waffle was nice and airy. As soon as I read there was an Ube one I was sold. The cream cheese dipping sauce was set and buttery. It paired perfectly with the waffle. Everything went well together, complimenting one another's flavors. Not the cheapest snack but dang was it all delicious! There's a small sitting area to wait for your order and a couple small tables but plenty of additional seating right outside the stir front since is in the Ala Moana shopping center. The workers were so friendly and helpful. Again, since it's at Ala's, there's plenty of parking but sometimes just as many shoppers, somehow still managing to make finding a spot in this massive place a hunt that could have you going in circles until your eyes cross."

"Ordered the Okinawa Milk Tea w/ Boba and was really good! It’s a really cute place tucked away in the Ala Moana Center food court. I think my favorite part about this boba spot is that you can indicate your desired sweetness level (0%, 25%, 50%, and 100%). The only down side was that it did seem to have a bit of a limited menu, but I’d absolutely come back!"

"First time trying Happy Lemon! Found it to be really tasty. They had a lot of interesting flavors including those local to Hawaii but I decided for the strawberry shortcake! Delicious!"

"What a refreshment! Finally a Happy Lemon at Makai Foodcourt in Ala Moana Center. Easy grab before hitting the beach across the street. Tried their salted cheese series and I suggest to get the Fresh Dragon Fruit Lychee Juice. Real goodness all the way! Lemon Yakult w/ Aloe is also good but get the 50% sweetness to maximize the goodness of the aloe. Nothing beats the original bubble waffle w/ cream puff for a dipping sauce! Giving this a 4-stars only because their staffs aren’t the friendliest! I mean, their nice at the same time they’re not. Tsssk…"

"Tbh, it is the best boba I have tasted in this mall. I ordered the signature sugar boba with full sugar. Their boba was perfect for teeth and tongue. The sweetness was awesome too, even it was full sugar. I did not feel too much sweet."

"What a sweet treat! Absolutely LOVE the lemon slushy, if you're a lemon lover. The milk tea (classic) with salted cheese sounded odd, but was surprisingly good; it makes it a bit creamier, and not salty at all. The ube is great, but I'm not a big fan of the puff, as it makes it a little grainy. They had a very happy vibe here, highly recommended!"

"My sister and I decided to get a drink that we don’t have available back home (at least not close to us) and chose Happy Lemon in the food court of the mall. They had a pretty good variety of drink choices. My sister got a smoothie which was really yummy. I opted for a lemon green tea as I had a cold and thought it’d help. It was quite tart (as the employee warned me) but delicious! The employee who helped us was not very pleasant and wasn’t very patient. The kitchen area didn’t look at clean as it could (and should) be, but I didn’t notice this until after we had ordered."
